Restaurant styled Fried Chicken

Fried Chicken

Meeting new people and making new friends always create a great impact on our life. Their language, culture and lifestyle always leaves us behind a thoughtful gesture of whether to follow them or not. Sometimes it affects adversely or sometimes it brings applauds from your others. Well, but food is something you can obviously follow. It gives a complete change to our daily boring traditional routines.

My neighbor Asfa is from Kasargode and she gives tips on some of the food from her place. This recipe is from her but I am not sure whether this is a Kasargodan recipe. This came out well for me. Once when I served this for my guests and they thought it was a restaurant made. I definitely ask you to try and am sure you cant resist your hands asking for more..

Ingredients :

  1. Chicken : 400 g , cut into medium size.
  2. Ginger : 1/2 inch
  3. Garlic : 2-3 pods
  4. Green Chillies : 3-4
  5. Curry Leaves : 3-4
  6. Egg : 1
  7. All Purpose Flour : 2 tbsp
  8. Corn Flour : 2 tbsp
  9. Oil : 3-4 tbsp

Method :
  1. Wash and drain the chicken.
  2. Blend the ingredients from 2 to5.
  3. Beat the egg and add all purpose flour, corn flour, salt, and the blended ingredients into this
  4. Marinate chicken using the prepared mixture and keep it in fridge for 1/2- 1 hour
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry until chicken turns brown.
Notes :
  • Curry leaves seems to be an odd ingredient, but trust me it wont do any harm.
